defining emotional resilience

Valo cultivates emotional resilience in Maine teens.

We know that emotionally healthy teens make for stronger, more vibrant communities. In sharing their stories, Valo teens discover a sense of belonging, empathy, and what it means to engage with others thoughtfully.

People often ask us, "What does emotional resilience mean?" and "How does emotional resilience impact teens in their lives today, and in the future?"

We want to pass along a couple of resources we have found helpful as we continue to cultivate resilience in our own lives and support teens in our communities doing the same.

Click below to see how others define and share ways to think about and approach emotional resilience in ourselves and in the wider world.
