Who We Serve

Valo serves a broad cross-section of young people, ages 15-24 across Maine. They come to us at various stages in their development and growth, in moments of calm and challenge, curious to better understand themselves and the experience of those around them.

At Valo, we honor all young people, while remaining clear about which teens we are able to serve and which we are not. We are not a clinical program set up to meet the needs of young people in crisis or with acute mental health issues. We work to prioritize the needs of our groups as a whole. When accepting young people into our program, we want them to be emotionally ready to participate fully.
